Every institution has a beginning. Ours began with a simple vision — to teach people not just how to drive, but how to drive with confidence, responsibility and care.
Established in 1969, Raju Driving School began its journey in Chalakudy at a time when driving was becoming an increasingly important part of everyday life. What started as a humble driving school gradually became a familiar and trusted name among families across Chalakudy and the surrounding areas.
For more than five decades, our journey has been closely connected with the people of this community.
Generations have walked through our doors as learners. Parents who once learned to drive with us later brought their children. Friends recommended us to friends. Families trusted us with one of the most important skills a person can learn — the ability to take control of a vehicle and safely navigate the road.
And that trust became our greatest achievement.
Over the years, driving itself has changed. The roads have changed. Vehicles have changed. Technology has changed. Licensing procedures have evolved. And every new generation of learners has brought different expectations.
But one thing has remained constant at Raju Driving School: our commitment to teaching people to become safe and confident drivers.
From the early days of traditional driving instruction to today's structured practical training, we have continued to adapt with the times while preserving the values on which the school was built.
Today, Raju Driving School continues its journey from Anamala Junction, Chalakudy, serving learners with modern training vehicles, experienced instructors and a growing range of training programmes.
We believe that learning to drive is learning responsibility. It is understanding the road. It is respecting other people. It is knowing when to accelerate — and when to slow down. It is having the confidence to make the right decision when it matters.
That philosophy has guided our training for generations.
As the years passed, Raju Driving School expanded its training capabilities to meet the changing needs of learners. From two-wheelers and cars to heavy-vehicle training, the school continues to broaden its services and training fleet. Recent milestones include the addition of new two-wheeler training vehicles and a new bus, followed by the successful launch of heavy driving tests in Chalakudy.
For us, the real history of Raju Driving School cannot be measured only in years. It is measured in the countless learners who started with nervous hands on the steering wheel and eventually drove away with confidence — the first licence, the first solo drive, the first family trip, the first time a student became a confident driver.
